Born in France, Camara made his Pro debut at the age of 18 for the B team of the French club Troyes. Then two years later he climbed the ranks and made his debut for the first team, while also playing for the B team. Then in 2015, he moved to another French outfit Boulogne, on loan for 1 year, at the end of which he made his way to the Greek second tier with Ergotelis. A year later Camara joined Xanthi, where he played for the next few years. He also has 35 appearances for the Mauritian National team and his maiden international goal came against Burkina Faso in 2018.
Speaking to Highlander Brigade Camara said, "I'm very excited to play for NEUFC and make all the fans happy".

Camara is an experienced player, who can also play as a right-back apart from central midfield. Having him in the squad, also means that we have a consolidated defence. He can also help in the build-up plays from the back and in keeping the defensive shores of the team intact. Highlander Brigade welcomes him with open arms, wish him all the luck. We hope that he delivers for us and helps us have a great season.
